The April 16, 2020 meeting of the Hallmark Farms Cooperative was held online via Teams Meetings with Commissioner Steve Ammons, Commissioner Joe Knight, Mayor Johnny Ragland and Travis Hulsey in attendance.
Commissioner Ammons presented information concerning the renewal of insurance. Truitt Insurance has offered coverage for a savings of $4,500 from the previous year.
Commissioner Joe Knight made a motion to allow Commissioner Ammons to sign the extended insurance coverage for the following 12 months. Mayor Johnny Ragland seconded the motion. Motion passed with a unanimous vote of the Cooperative.
Keith Strickland with GMC discussed the bid package for ground maintenance on the property. This bid opening will be held on April 28, 2020. The package instructed bidders to mail their bids to GMC headquarters. The opening of the bids will be done publicly via a Zoom meeting.
Doug Neil discussed possible distribution opportunities.
Held discussion of working on Phases 1 and 2 while looking forward to Phase 3.
By mid-to-late May GMC could have a fine-tuned master plan for Phase 2 according to Jane Ross. Commissioner Ammons asked for a preliminary timeline for the upcoming phases to be presented to the members on Monday.
Commissioner Joe Knight made a motion to close the meeting. Seconded by Travis Hulsey.
